Social Work Lecturer

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Social Work Lecturer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about teaching and mentoring students in the field of social work.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work, with a PhD or Master's degree in the field, and at least 5 years of experience in teaching and curriculum development. They will also be eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers and have a strong understanding of social work theory and practice.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials and face-to-face sessions to students.
  • Conduct student assessments and provide feedback.
  • Identify and support at-risk students, developing individual learning plans as needed.
  • Maintain subject sites on the Learning Management System.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Social Work or Master's in Social Work with 5 years of teaching experience.
  • Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing tertiary subject curricula and teaching materials.
  • Ability to coordinate and administer subject delivery.
  • Strong understanding of social work theory and practice.
