Grounds Maintenance Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Grounds Maintenance Team Member to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has a passion for maintaining high-quality grounds.

This position involves performing various landscaping services across multiple sites, including mowing, edging, sweeping/blowing, pruning, hedge/tree trimming, weed control, and Astro turf maintenance.

You will work autonomously to maintain exceptional standards, provide outstanding customer service, and build strong relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Landscaping Services: Perform regular landscaping tasks such as mowing, edging, sweeping/blowing, pruning, hedge/tree trimming, weed control, and Astro turf maintenance at multiple sites.
  • Garden Refreshing: Refresh gardens and playgrounds by installing woodchip mulch, sand pit maintenance, new plants, and other essential tasks.
  • External Cleaning: Clean external areas of buildings using pressure washers as required.
  • Waste Removal: Remove all garden waste and transfer it to an authorized waste transfer station.
  • Job Updates: Ensure all required job updates are provided in a timely manner.
  • Maintenance Initiatives: Follow an initiative-taking model for Groundskeeping maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in Grounds/Landscaping maintenance services is essential.
  • Valid License: A valid driver's license and experience driving with a trailer is mandatory.
  • Working with Children Check: A Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one is required.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task, work reliably with limited supervision, and make sound decisions quickly.
  • Technology Skills: Familiarity with interfacing with technology (iPhone) used to systemically monitor location/jobs.
  • Police Check: Be prepared to undergo a Police Check as part of pre-employment screening.
  • Medical Certificate: The position requires completing a pre-employment medical.
  • Weather Conditions: This position is outdoors and requires the ability to work in any and all weather conditions.

  • Pre-Employment Medical: The successful candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment medical.
  • Police Check: Be prepared to undergo a Police Check as part of pre-employment screening.
