HVAC+R Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC+R Technician to join our in-house trades team at Westcoast Construction and Demolition. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing installations, repairs, and maintenance of commercial and residential HVAC+R systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration units, refrigerated containers, and commercial cool rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and maintain HVAC+R systems in residential and commercial settings
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC+R systems to ensure high-quality work
  • Respond to emergency service requests efficiently and effectively
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations for HVAC+R systems
  • Maintain strong client relationships through excellent customer service
  • Collaborate with our in-house trades team to uphold WCCD's values of safety, quality, and trust

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified in HVAC+R (Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Commercial Cool Rooms)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HVAC+R installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Contractor's license (preferred but not required) - License holders will receive additional compensation and advancement opportunities
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical wiring diagrams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass security clearances
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
