About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Traffic Systems Engineer to join our Product Platform Engineering organisation. As a Traffic Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for the secure design, implementation, maintenance, and scaling of service meshes across multiple products. You'll work closely with our product development teams to ensure that our infrastructure platform is highly available, scalable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain service meshes across multiple products
  • Work closely with product development teams to ensure that our infrastructure platform is highly available, scalable, and secure
  • Configure infrastructure using code, primarily Terraform, and occasionally Bash or Python
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cloud infrastructure, service meshes, and container orchestration

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience in cloud infrastructure, preferably on AWS
  • Proficiency in foundational tools like Git, Docker, Bash, and Terraform
  • Software development experience, preferably in Go, Python, or Bash
  • Familiarity with container orchestration, preferably Kubernetes or EKS/GKE
  • Experience with service meshes, preferably Istio, Envoy, or Linkerd
  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms, preferably AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, preferably Terraform or Cloud Formation
  • Knowledge of observability tools, preferably Datadog, Sumo Logic, New Relic, or Prometheus
  • Experience with scalable CI/CD toolchains, preferably Buildkite, GitHub, or Docker registries
