Protecting the safety and integrity of maritime zones is a crucial task that requires dedication and expertise. As a Maritime Security Guard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and compliance of all established maritime zones.

">Key Responsibilities
  • Access Control: Controlling access into a maritime zone (both persons and vehicles) in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.
  • Patrols: Conducting internal and external foot and vehicle patrols to monitor and secure the area.
  • Surveillance and Response: Monitoring CCTV surveillance and responding to various site alarms to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Reporting and Administration: Checking emails and administration, as well as performing required reporting tasks.
  • Perimeter Security: Ensuring there is no unauthorized access to the site or vulnerabilities to the physical and electronic security integrity of the Site perimeter.
Requirements
  • A Certificate II in Security Operations.
  • A State current and applicable Security license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
  • Must hold a license to work as a security guard, being a license that was issued or recognized by the relevant State or Territory and that is in force.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Acts and Regulations: Understanding of the act and understanding of MSG powers under MTOFSA.
  • Adaptability: Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment.
  • Applied Learning: Assimilating and applying new job-related information in a timely manner.
