Job Opportunity

A prestigious healthcare organization is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Fellow to join its esteemed Department of Nephrology. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop advanced skills and specialty interest in Glomerulonephritis, while also gaining further experience in general nephrology, Kidney Supportive Care, and Nephrology Clinical Trials.

The Clinical Fellow will be responsible for working in the newly established Glomerulonephritis clinic, contributing to the development of the GN multidisciplinary clinic, overseeing and managing the glomerulonephritis patient database, and participating in teaching, research, quality improvement, and administrative activities within the Nephrology Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to patients with kidney disease and hypertension
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
  • Contribute to the development of clinical trials and research projects
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • Current medical practitioner registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognized qualifications in renal medicine and/or Advanced Physician's Trainees currently enrolled in the Royal Australian College of Physicians nephrology advanced training program
  • High standard of renal medicine/nephrology clinical practice consistent with the role of a Post Graduate Fellow
  • Ability to provide contemporary evidence-based best practice
  • Commitment to undertaking training courses
  • Demonstrated track record in supervision and training of junior medical staff including prevocational and advanced trainees
