Clinical Nephrology Specialist

The Glomerulonephritis (GN) specialist training position offers advanced skills development and further experience in general nephrology, Kidney Supportive Care and Nephrology Clinical Trials.
About the RoleThe main objective of this role is to provide high-quality clinical care, diagnostic and consultative specialty service in GN at a Post Graduate Fellow level and participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Nephrology Department.
A regular day will involve working in the newly established Glomerulonephritis clinic, contributing to the development of the GN multidisciplinary clinic, overseeing and managing the glomerulonephritis patient database, contributing to the Kidney Supportive Care Clinic, and involved in patient screening, recruitment and patient visits for Nephrology Department Clinical Trials.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you'll bring current medical practitioner registration or eligibility for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised qualifications in renal medicine and/or Advanced Physician's Trainees currently enrolled in the Royal Australian College of Physicians nephrology advanced training program.
You'll also need to have current renal medicine/nephrology clinical practice of a high standard consistent with the role of a Post Graduate Fellow, with ability to provide contemporary evidence based best practice, commitment to undertake training courses, and demonstrated track record in supervision and training of junior medical staff including prevocational and advanced trainees.
