Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team in a full-time capacity. As a key member of our Group PPNZ Technology team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing process and automation solutions to drive business efficiency and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automation Solutions Development
    • Identify and procure capital equipment to automate production processes, increase operational efficiency, and secure new business opportunities.
    • Prepare and execute capex plans for the installation and maintenance of automated plant and equipment.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Support the Sales Team with technical expertise on automation solutions and customer requirements.
  • Project Management
    • Lead and manage complex automation projects as directed by GM - Technology.
  • Research and Development
    • Research and evaluate new technologies and automation practices as directed.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • Experience as a Technical Manager in FMCG, manufacturing/production environment with a focus on process automation and implementation.
    • Experience with projects focused on manufacturing automation.
  • Skills
    • Senior manufacturing experience.
    • Proven Project Management experience.
    • Proven leadership and team management experience with the ability to build a cohesive and values-driven team motivated to achieve outstanding results.
    • Exposure to process automation best practices in a manufacturing environment.
    • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with Process improvement techniques.
    • Knowledge of Health & Safety including QA.

About You

You will be a respected leader with excellent coaching and mentoring capability, well-known for your technical knowledge of the plastic manufacturing industry, experience in automation projects in manufacturing, and positive attitude. You will be an ambassador of the business both internally and externally, with a strong commitment to business and process improvement for exceptional outcomes for customers.

Qualifications

Relevant Tertiary Qualifications/Trade Qualification/Technical Qualification, Previous success with principles of Lean manufacturing and automation projects.
