Therapeutic Intervention Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team and work with young people and their families.

The Trauma-Specific Therapeutic Family Violence Services aim to provide therapeutic intervention, case management, and brokerage support to address the cause and impact of a young person's violence at home.

The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of trauma and its impacts on attachment and developmental milestones for young people. They will be able to facilitate recovery, empower participants to make positive choices, and contribute to building a robust evidence base for effective support strategies.

About the Role

This is a full-time or part-time (negotiable) position, fixed term until 30 June 2026. The Clinician will work in a collaborative environment and be responsible for:

  • Conducting clinical assessments and developing treatment plans
  • Providing direct service to young people and their families
  • Collaborating with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor degree level or higher qualification in a Health or Welfare related field such as Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Family Therapy, Speech Pathology, Art Therapy or related discipline
  • Significant experience conducting clinical work with adolescents
  • A sound understanding of the complexities of the service system and the ability to provide direct service in the clinical assessment and treatment of young people and families
  • An understanding and demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and community
