We are offering an exciting opportunity for passionate individuals interested in heavy machinery to join as an Apprentice Mobile Plant Mechanic, working across quarry operations. This apprenticeship allows you to earn a nationally recognized qualification while gaining practical experience in a challenging mechanical environment.
About the Role:
- Work in both workshop and quarry sites, learning to service, maintain, and repair heavy mobile plant and quarry machinery such as crushers, screeners, loaders, excavators, haul trucks, skid steers, conveyors, and fixed plant equipment.
- The 4-year structured apprenticeship combines hands-on experience with study towards a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology.
What You'll Learn:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults in quarry machines
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems maintenance
- Preventative servicing and inspections
- Welding, fabrication, and field repairs
- Safe work practices in a quarry environment
- Maintaining accurate documentation and servicing records
