Job Summary

Australia Post is seeking a reliable and physically fit individual to join our team as a Seasonal Casual Parcel Sorter during our peak season. As a key member of our sorting team, you will be responsible for efficiently sorting and processing parcels and mail, ensuring timely delivery to customers across Australia.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a challenging and rewarding role that offers a higher rate of pay for applicable shift times (penalty rates). You will work with a great bunch of people in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and safety are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sorting parcels and mail using sophisticated processing equipment and lines
  • Loading and unloading mail from mail bags, trays, containers, and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)
  • Operating and using load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers
Requirements
  • Available to work from October through our peak period
  • Able to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly
  • Safety-conscious and able to safely operate equipment
  • Comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol products
