
Payroll System Consultant

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Payroll System Consultant. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering high quality payroll solutions to our clients.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of payroll systems and processes, with a strong focus on compliance and best practices. You will work closely with clients to gather their business requirements and objectives, and deliver tailored payroll solutions that meet their needs.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Creating and delivering payroll system demonstrations and presentations
- Gathering and analyzing client payroll business requirements and objectives
- Delivering payroll system consulting services to clients
- Developing workforce management functionality specifications for the technical team
- Working with clients to plan and organize QA testing
- Facilitating knowledge transfer with clients through customer/administrator and end user training
- Conducting workshops with clients to identify scope, requirements, and business outcomes
- Capturing and documenting business outcomes and objectives to help with project success stories and business cases
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Technology or Business, or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- At least 3 years of experience in implementing or providing support for payroll systems
- Strong domain knowledge of time and attendance processes and workflows
- Up-to-date certifications and accreditations (e.g., WFS)
- Advanced excel skills (e.g., pivot tables) or similar
Desired qualifications include:
- PT101 - WFS Functional Consultant
- PT003 - Tenant Manager
- PT141 - Job Scheduler
- PT102 - WFS Configuration Specialist levels 1 & 2
- PT120 Database Schema
- PT125 Custom Reporting
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) include:
- Advanced excel skills (e.g., pivot tables) or similar
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation experience
- Ability to interpret employment instruments (e.g., EBAs, Awards, New Zealand Holidays Act etc.) and configure into solution
