This role is responsible for delivering a phenomenal in-store retail experience for customers, working closely alongside the Store Manager to achieve this goal. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader with excellent communication skills, able to engage and motivate the team towards collective goals.
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in managing monthly rosters, ensuring wage budgets are met. Additionally, they will assist with onboarding and training of the store team, providing a stunning brand experience at every step.
Key responsibilities include leading by example, growing and nurturing a talented team, and ensuring all store communication, brand information, and updates are communicated and understood by the whole team.
Selling and ServiceThe successful candidate will be passionate about sleep, interiors, design, and styling, with a strong knowledge of retail operations and customer experience. They will be able to educate customers about the brand, offer expert styling advice, and enlighten them about features and benefits that set us apart from the rest.
Responsibilities will include selling Sheet Society through genuine connections with customers, managing inbound customer calls/queries, and setting team expectations. Additionally, the Assistant Store Manager will ensure financial budgets and KPIs are shared, reported, and driven with the team.
Merchandising and InventoryThe ideal candidate will have a passion for visual merchandising as a sales driver and a brand experience. They will work closely with the Product and Marketing teams to roll out Visual Merchandising changeovers, either seasonally or with new product drops. This will include our monthly bed changeovers.
Responsibilities will include ensuring our brand standards for VM, beds, cleanliness, signage, displays, etc., are always met. The Assistant Store Manager will also need to identify opportunities for efficiencies within retail operations.
Requirements:- Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership role within retail, demonstrating autonomy, accountability, and commercial acumen.
- Passionate about sleep, interiors, design, and styling, with a love for creating meaningful moments for customers.
- Sound knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with all departments within the business.
- Full-time Sunday to Thursday roster.
