Fitter Fixed Plant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fitter to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults, inspecting, and testing machinery in a fixed-plant environment on the surface and underground.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, with experience in maintaining surface and underground pumping systems, fixed ventilation fans, rotary vane compressors, and primary ventilation systems. Additionally, they will possess excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude, and a commitment to safety.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • C Class Western Australian driver's licence
  • Relevant Trade Certificate (Fixed Plant Mechanic)
  • Minimum 2 years' mechanical maintenance experience in an underground mining environment
  • Experience maintaining surface and underground pumping systems, fixed ventilation fans, rotary vane compressors, and primary ventilation systems
  • Excellent communication skills
