Key Responsibilities for Diesel Fitters

As a skilled Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and equipment. This will involve performing mechanical inspections and identifying areas for improvement, as well as working efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment.

You will also be required to collaborate with other tradespeople to achieve project goals, and ensure that all work is completed to the highest quality standards.

Some of the key tasks associated with this role include:

  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Inspections and Analysis: Conduct regular inspections and analysis of diesel engines and equipment to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other tradespeople and stakeholders to achieve project goals and ensure seamless communication throughout the process.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work is completed to the highest quality standards, meeting the requirements of our customers and stakeholders.
Requirements for Diesel Fitters

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Current Driver Licence: You must hold a current driver licence to operate company vehicles and travel to different job sites.
  • General Construction Induction (white card): You must hold a valid general construction induction card to work on construction sites.
  • Experience in Maintaining Civil Construction Earth Moving Equipment: You must have experience in maintaining civil construction earth moving equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and graders.
  • Ability to Meet Quality Standards: You must be able to complete work to high-quality standards, meeting the requirements of our customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong Commitment to Safety: You must have a strong commitment to safety, both for yourself and others, and be willing to adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
