We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering discipline in a major capital works program.
The RoleThis is an opportunity for an experienced and innovative mechanical engineer to join our project delivery team as the technical leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects, mentoring teams, and ensuring quality in the delivery of mechanical engineering deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Technical leadership in mechanical engineering design and delivery
- Mentoring and guiding less experienced engineers
- Fostering a collaborative team environment
- Evaluating designs against specifications, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and environmental impact
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards
- Contributing to design review workshops and quality checks
- At least 12 years' experience in managing projects on major hazards facilities
- Demonstrable experience in embedding safety considerations into all aspects of mechanical engineering and design
- Proven experience in being directly involved on projects in the chemicals and agricultural sectors
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Availability to work onsite in Laverton, Victoria
