Lead a Technologically Advanced Metro Depot

As a highly skilled leader, you will have the opportunity to manage one of Australia's most cutting-edge depots, driving strategic and operational oversight of high-capacity transportation options. Your role will involve championing continuous improvement, leading with passion and energy to deliver improved travel experiences as part of Brisbane Metro.

You will be responsible for ensuring all operational depot activities are executed to deliver network plans and services, aligning to the expectations of diverse stakeholders. This synergetic executive position plays a pivotal role in connecting the city, linking suburbs, and overseeing Metro services, displaying the highest standards of professionalism and contemporary forward thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic leadership of the depot team, driving efficiency improvements and operational excellence.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of Metro services.
  • Development of business plans and projects to meet quality, timeline, and budget standards.
  • Workforce planning and talent development to build high-performance teams.
  • Fostering a culture that prioritises respect, wellbeing, and zero harm.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in transportation or a related field.
  • Strong track record in process improvement, driving efficiencies and leading transformative business changes.
  • Proficiency in planning, progress monitoring, and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in governance, risk management, quality assurance, and cost control.
  • Background in promoting workplace and customer safety.
