Join a dynamic team of cybersecurity professionals in our Security Operations Centre (SOC) as a highly skilled Security Analyst. In this key role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality cyber security services to one of our key national customers.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a developing SOC environment, with opportunities for career development and growth as the team matures and evolves.
As a Security Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring and responding to cyber security events using Microsoft Sentinel SIEM and SOAR tools
- Acting as a key escalation point for Level 1 and junior Level 2 analysts and acting as a technical leader, mentoring junior analysts
- Assisting with process review, documentation uplift, and GRC artefact generation
- Participating in the enhancement of detection engineering and alerting rules
- Collaborating with internal teams including the Service Desk, Architecture, and Cyber teams
- Using Azure Dev Ops to manage tasks, track security-related work items, document process improvements, and collaborate with internal teams for greater transparency and coordination across cyber operations
- Maintaining high security operational standards and contributing to the overall SOC maturity uplift
- Participating in on-call support rotation once every 3 weeks
We are seeking someone with:
- 4+ years of experience in Cyber Security, ideally in a SOC or security operations context
- Solid understanding of Cloud Security, particularly across Microsoft environments
- Experience working with Microsoft Sentinel SIEM, including detection and alert engineering
- Familiarity with SOAR tools and automated response processes
- Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops and Service Now
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Process-oriented mindset with experience in GRC documentation and compliance frameworks
