Trade Overseer - Industries Unit

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Trade Overseer to work at our General Industries unit. The role requires managing, coaching, instructing, and encouraging inmates in order that they may improve their work skills, enhance their post-release employment prospects, and contribute productively to objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and develop inmates through effective management, coaching, and instruction.
  • Oversee the activities of the team to ensure productivity efficiency and commercial objectives are achieved while meeting all workplace health and safety requirements.
Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or ability to complete within specified CSNSW timeframes.
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle during the role.
  • Relevant trade qualifications including Cert III in Carpentry, Print with Print/Cut UV -LED Printer experience, Flexographic, Off-set printing, Digital printing, Graphic Design, Horticultural, Landscaping, Baking, or Commercial Cookery.
  • Forklift licence desired but not essential.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven post-trade experience.
  • Experience demonstrating ability to meet key accountabilities and focus capabilities.
  • Ability and willingness to work across various trades as required.
