Banking Operations Officer - A Key Role in Transaction Accounts

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Banking Operations Officer to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring seamless transaction accounts operations.

  • Account opening for Retail Banking Products including credit card and everyday bank accounts;
  • Checking and completing Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing documents;
  • Static data maintenance;
  • Processing and completion of customer queries;
  • Liaising with internal business units on account-related matters.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily payments chargebacks and disputes;
  • Managing term deposit maturities and notice withdrawals;
  • Managing successful payment batch submissions and SWIFTS;
  • Managing audit confirmations and trace requests;
  • Investigating outstanding reconciliation items;
  • Preparing and settling foreign currency deals;
  • Uploading batch payments for leasing products;
  • Processing card transactions;
  • Maintaining Priority Pass points;
  • Statement quality checking.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • 1-3 years of previous experience in a similar role with client service and sales operational background;
  • Proven customer service orientation;
  • Substantial knowledge of general banking operations;
  • Sound knowledge of competitors' products;
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders and build rapport while servicing clients' transaction banking needs;
  • Ability to work in a busy environment;
  • Teamwork and pressure management skills;
  • High attention to detail and ownership of tasks.
