Tax Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Associate to join our team at Allens. As a Tax Associate, you will play a key role in providing tax advice and guidance to our clients, and will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of tax matters.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tax advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of tax matters, including tax disputes, tax M&A, and tax advisory work.
- Assist clients in resolving tax disputes through ATO engagement or litigation in court.
- Represent clients in tax M&A transactions and provide tax advice on the structuring and implementation of these transactions.
- Work closely with our Partners and the wider team to gain exposure to complex and interesting tax matters.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Experience in tax, preferably at a law firm or a professional services firm.
- Experience managing tax disputes matters (including audits, objections and litigation) or tax M&A matters.
- Been regularly exposed to clients and have provided advice both autonomously and as part of a team.
- An ability to work independently and effectively manage smaller matters and elements of larger matters.
- A desire to learn, grow, network, and mentor others.
