Senior Associate Leasing Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our Sydney Property team, focusing on commercial, industrial, and retail leasing.

The Role

Our Sydney Property team is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Associate to work alongside highly credentialled Partners with a focus on leasing. The team is collaborative and represents some of Australia's largest landlords in the commercial, industrial, and retail sectors.

You will have direct client contact and the ability to build on existing client relationships as well as to develop your own. You will work with both a high level of autonomy and as part of a team.

You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating leases, advising on compliance and leasing strategy, and managing end-to-end transactions. You'll also mentor junior lawyers and contribute to business development initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in property law, ideally from a mid or top-tier firm;
  • Strong technical skills in drafting and negotiating complex lease documents;
  • Experience advising landlords across retail, commercial and industrial sectors;
  • Proven ability to build rapport with clients and deliver pragmatic legal advice;
  • A collaborative mindset and desire to mentor junior colleagues; and
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and meet tight deadlines;
