Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of a safe food environment, adhering to strict food handling and hygiene protocols.
  • Participate in the efficient delivery of service, clearing and assisting with meal preparation and cleaning of all areas associated with Food Services.
  • Work collaboratively with the Food Services team to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and surrounding areas.
  • Report any concerns or issues to the Team Leader, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and organized workspace, adhering to the Food Safety Plan and Infection Management Manual Policy and Procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer needs and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Work effectively with caregivers to maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to Universal Blood and Body Substances (BABS) Precautions and the Food Act 1984.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in a food service environment, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including casual shifts, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a high standard of quality and safety in food preparation and delivery.
