Water Infrastructure Design Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Infrastructure Design Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in water infrastructure concept and detailed design experience, with a passion for expanding their knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of information, production of designs, project management, and client relationship management across water infrastructure projects
  • Contributing to bid preparation and providing technical input across all disciplines
  • Ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
  • Collaborating with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and coordination of project deliverables
  • Contributing to the commercial success of projects and the team
  • Applying project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplishing project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, RPEQ highly desirable
  • 5-10 years' experience in relevant industry experience across the design of water infrastructure, pump stations, pipelines, and river intakes
  • Design experience on STP projects including blowers, aeration networks, biogas flares, inlet works, mechanical screening, sludge handling, and chemical dosing systems
  • Experience with WSA/SEQ code, AWWA codes, and relevant Australian standards
  • Proficient with engineering software such as HAMMER, Water/Sewer GEMS, AutoCAD, Strand7, AutoPIPE
