Accounting Manager - E-commerce

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our E-commerce team at TikTok. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the daily activities of accounting and financial operations, including new accounting analysis, staying up-to-date with relevant accounting standards, and assessing operational implications for any relevant changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily activities of accounting and financial operations, including financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Conduct new accounting analysis on new product launches and accounting changes, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting standards and assess operational implications for any relevant changes.
  • Research accounting implications from changes in the business and stay up-to-date on changes in industry trends.
  • Partner with the global accounting/reporting teams to operationalize accounting relating to complex transactions.
  • Coordinate with external and internal auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requests and aid in the research and analysis of audit issues raised.
  • Work closely with reporting/tax teams to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies through effective communications and globally coordinated execution.

Requirements

  • Professional experience with financial statements auditing, financial accounting, or similar experience.
  • Analytical experience, including experience in Excel.
  • Applicable in-house TMT industry experience.
  • Experience working with business partners and engineers to effect changes.
  • Experience in working in Big 4 audit.
  • Experience in optimizing or re-designing existing processes resulting from business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Financial reporting (GAAP).
  • System implementation experience.
  • Experience working with LATAM countries, familiar with LATAM accounting policies.
  • CPA license - E-commerce related experiences.
