Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Theatres team at Sunshine Coast University Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the development of your nursing skills.

You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, professional, inclusive, and team-focused environment, delivering a comprehensive range of surgical services including orthopaedic, neurosurgical, cardiothoracic, plastic, vascular, urological, gynaecological, and general surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across multiple specialties.
  • Assess, plan, and coordinate the delivery of individualised patient care.
  • Monitor and report on patient condition during surgical procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Minimum of 2 years' scrub/scout experience in an operating theatre setting.
  • Experience in orthopaedics, neurosurgery, or cardiac surgery (highly desirable).
  • Strong clinical judgement and excellent time management skills.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
