Infrastructure Modernisation Specialist

This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Australian institution.

About the Team

The Information Technology team is responsible for transitioning and operationalising new infrastructure platforms.

The team provides technology facilities, services, and support to the organisation.

About the Role

This role reports to the Infrastructure Practice Manager and requires expertise in on-premises infrastructure, including VMware, Windows Server, and Linux Server environments.

You will apply DevOps principles, drive automation using PowerShell and Shell scripting, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Terraform Certified with deep knowledge of HashiCorp tools (Vault, Terraform, Packer).
  • Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert or equivalent AWS/GCP certification.
  • Experience deploying Terraform in secure, multi-datacentre environments.
  • Expertise in Windows Server or Red Hat Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with VMware ESXI 7 or later.
  • Proficient in configuration management using Puppet or similar tools.
  • Skilled in application packaging and deployment using Chocolatey, Artifactory, and Red Hat Satellite or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Intersight for infrastructure management.
