Education Leadership Position

The Teaching and Learning Centre Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving excellence in teaching practice and student learning across the school. This position involves leading curriculum development, ensuring programs are aligned with school priorities, and supporting staff with evidence-based strategies that make a real impact in the classroom.

As an all-girls school for Years 7–12, Merici College proudly offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (Years 11–12) and the Middle Years Programme (Years 7–10). The coordinator works collaboratively with colleagues to build consistency in pedagogy, assessment, and reporting, while also encouraging innovation and creativity in the way learning experiences are designed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum development to ensure programs align with school priorities.

• Support staff with evidence-based strategies that make a real impact in the classroom.

• Provide leadership through coaching, mentoring, and professional learning.

• Analyze student data and monitor progress to identify opportunities for growth and celebrate achievements.

• Promote innovative teaching that engages students, supports diverse learning needs, and leads to improved outcomes.

• Collaborate with colleagues to build consistency in pedagogy, assessment, and reporting.

• Encourage innovation and creativity in the way learning experiences are designed.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.

• ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration.

• ACT Teacher Quality Institute registration.
