Job Description

This role is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic site environment. As a Fibre Network Specialist, you will be part of a team responsible for installing optic fibre cables for the Telstra network on the Inter City Fibre Network (ICF) project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Rod and rope hauling: hauling multiple cables by hand and machinery, quality checks
  • Civil activities: repairing blockages, operating plant and equipment such as dozers, excavators, vacuum trucks, winches, mobile cranes, and HR trucks
  • Labouring duties: cutting and repairing fences, undertaking excavation using hand and mechanical methods

You will have the opportunity to travel and work in various locations across regional NSW, with a 21/7 roster. You will receive a generous living away from home allowance while travelling, making this a great option for those looking for a change of pace.

Requirements:
  • Current driver's licence
  • Current Construction White card

Holding tickets such as HR Heavy Rigid truck licence, Operator and VOC Excavator, Operator and VOC Dozer, Pit, Pipe, and Cable Hauling course, Senior First Aid Certificate, Level 2 Traffic Management Implementation Course, Work Safety at Heights, Asbestos Awareness Certificate, and High Risk Licence would be beneficial.
