Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef De Partie to join our team at Accor, working in the Qantas Lounges and Sofitel Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in food preparation, ordering, and team development to meet lounge standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in food preparation, ordering, and team development to meet lounge standards.
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, implementing and maintaining stock control procedures.
  • Work with and coordinate the work of apprentices in preparing and producing food as required.
  • Assist with managing team members' performance and lead by example.
  • Be responsible for your designated area and anticipate guests' needs.
  • Prepare and present menu items for buffet, a la carte, and tray service to Lounge standards and within budget controls.
  • Ensure Food safety standards are met in all stages of the food cycle—delivery, storage, preparation, cookery, service, and rotation.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in the same or similar position.
  • Completed a trade qualification certificate.
  • Managed/led a team of 15 team members or more.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • MUST have full working rights within Australia.
  • Ability to pass a federal police background security check.

You will be engaged to work under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award [MA000009].

Note: Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Federal Police check at their own cost (Will be reimbursed once approved) in order to gain ASIC certification.
