Estimating Specialist

An exciting opportunity to contribute to a professional and collaborative environment as an experienced Estimator.

We are seeking a skilled professional to work on a 3-month contract, with the potential for extension, in Cairns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare high-quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Utilize estimating software to produce consistent and accurate client quotations.
  • Assess and prepare precise estimates, quotations, and project trade packages, including material lists and construction programs.
  • Contribute to the research and development of best practices in estimating, costing, and contract administration.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to enhance service delivery and achieve cost efficiencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in an Estimator role, preferably within the building/construction industry.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate cost estimates and quotations.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
