Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Networking Solutions Architect to join our Core Cloud Networking and Automation team at Atlassian. As a member of this team, you will design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective networking solutions for our public cloud environments.

Atlassian is a distributed-first company that allows employees to work from anywhere. This flexibility enables employees to support their family, personal goals, and other priorities. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually.

As a Cloud Networking Solutions Architect, you will explore and decide on new technologies, implement proof of concepts, and drive key production projects. You will have the opportunity to be involved in defining and monitoring technical strategy for the team and extended teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective networking solutions for public cloud environments.
  • Explore and decide on new technologies, implement proof of concepts, and drive key production projects.
  • Be involved in defining and monitoring technical strategy for the team and extended teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of networking solutions.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in leading a team effectively in achieving desired outcomes.
  • 2+ years' experience with deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in Python and Terraform.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Experience building, automating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure in AWS using VPC, EC2 compute.
  • L3-L7 level network layers.
  • IP, DNS, VPC peering, and subnet management.
  • Experience with building cloud-agnostic solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Services, Ansible, Go.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues in microservices routing, cloud applications, and network services at scale.
  • SignalFX, Splunk, and other monitoring systems, including internal monitoring tools.
