This is a challenging opportunity to work in the defence industry as a Mechanical Engineer.
About the Job
- As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key part in supporting critical projects with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative environment.
- You will be responsible for preparing equipment models, layouts, drawings and analysis to ensure project success.
- Key responsibilities also include creating documentation that supports interfacing with the production facility, ensuring seamless integration.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing equipment models, layouts, drawings and analysis to ensure project success.
- Creating documentation that supports interfacing with the production facility, ensuring seamless integration.
- Contributing to the management of design documentation, including configuration and updates.
- Supporting Acceptance Testing activities, including Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test, Set to Work First Article Inspections.
- Preparing test reports, project documentation, production baselines and supplier technical data packs to meet project requirements.
- Developing processes for conducting engineering activities, including Acceptance Tests.
- Assisting in Root Cause Analysis for Non-Conforming products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Supporting product Safety Assessments to guarantee the safety of our products.
About You
- To be successful in this role, you should have a qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications is essential.
- CAD systems such as SolidWorks would be beneficial.
- Experience in a similar role in a defence environment would be advantageous.
- The ability to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance is required.
