As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing military hardware. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will ensure that equipment is functioning correctly and safely. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the success of our Defence Maintenance Contract.

About the Role

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform maintenance, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on military hardware and Defence armaments. You will work closely with Defence personnel to ensure that equipment is functional and meets training objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on military hardware and Defence armaments
  • Inspect and certify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purpose
  • Provide direct support and teamwork with Defence and Defence training activities
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Trade Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting and hold a valid Australian Driver's License. A MR of HR License is desirable, but not essential. You must also be physically fit and enjoy hands-on work.

Benefits:

This is a full-time role working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Finish at 12 pm on Fridays. Relocation assistance is available. On-site parking is provided, and you will have access to a range of training and upskilling opportunities.

Work Environment:

You will be based at Edinburgh, just north of Adelaide SA, and will have the opportunity to work on unique Defence vehicles and assets.
