Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Care Professional to join our team at Serco, providing clinical support to our dental team and delivering high-quality care to patients.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, assisting dentists and hygienists with chair-side procedures, administrative tasks, and promoting oral health to patients.

About the Role
  • Assist dentists and dental specialists/hygienists with chair-side procedures, including patient preparation, instrument handling, and provision of local anaesthetics.
  • Contribute to the promotion of oral health to patients, including educating them on preventative measures and encouraging good oral hygiene practices.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as updating patient records, processing billing information, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and procedures, including Defence Policies & Procedures, and maintain optimal hygiene of the surgery environment.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
  • Minimum of 2 years' (full-time equivalent) chair-side experience within the last 5 years.
  • Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
