Exercise Physiologist – Community Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our community team in Port Stephens, providing high-quality care services to individuals and supporting their independence and well-being.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and build the exercise physiology service with support from a highly experienced lead Physiotherapist and a multi-disciplinary healthcare team. You will be working in a newly developed allied health team in the Port Stephens area, with the goal of delivering exceptional patient outcomes and experiences.
As an Exercise Physiologist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating older adults in a community-based environment, developing effective exercise programs tailored to individual needs, and promoting falls prevention and management. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments and creating personalized exercise plans to achieve client goals
- Leading group classes, including balance exercises, to enhance client mobility and confidence
- Fostering strong relationships with clients, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless care delivery
- Providing regular progress updates and reports to stakeholders
- Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing professional development and training
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- A relevant qualification in Exercise Physiology and current ESSA registration
- A passion for delivering high-quality care and making a positive impact on people's lives
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage your time efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding creative solutions to complex challenges
- A current driver's license and reliable vehicle, with a willingness to travel to various locations as needed
In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary package, including:
- A base salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience
