Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients' cardiac health, identifying any changes or complications.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures, such as EKGs and stress tests, and interpret results.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and answering questions.
Requirements:
- APHRA registration and working rights in Australia.
- Cardiac or cardiothoracic nursing experience in acute -critical care.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Post graduate certificate or diploma in critical care/cardiac nursing desirable.
