About the Role

As a key member of the Corporate Communications and Government Relations team at Federation University Australia, you will play a vital role in enhancing the university's reputation and increasing its exposure through coordinated internal and external communication activities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Coordinating proactive media opportunities, including writing media releases, media plans, and creating engaging media opportunities
* Providing expert advice on internal and media communications
* Developing and distributing compelling internal communications to staff across various platforms
* Collaborating with the team to create a media and communications calendar that promotes campaigns effectively

About You

As a Corporate Communications Advisor, you will work under the direction of the Corporate Communications Manager and interact with various stakeholders within the university community.

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

* Media and communications experience, including writing and editing media releases, news stories, and digital content
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience in social media, photography, and video production
* Ability to handle proactive and reactive media situations
* Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

All University positions delivering education and/or services to children must hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
