The Queensland Fire Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Northern Region Fire Warden Manager.
This role will involve leading the planning and execution of bushfire mitigation strategies and activities across the district, including risk assessments, prioritisation, options assessment, and evaluation of residual risk.
The successful applicant will also be responsible for managing the Fire Warden network, overseeing appointments, induction, training, and dispute resolution, as well as managing the Permit to Light Fire system in the District.
In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will support bushfire risk data management through identification of trends, patterns of non-compliance, suspicious fire activities, and issues in the district.
The ideal candidate will have a proven commitment to maintaining bushfire competencies and operating in a regional team environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of bushfire mitigation strategies and activities across the district.
- Manage the Fire Warden network across the District.
- Support bushfire risk data management through identification of trends, patterns of non-compliance, suspicious fire activities, and issues in the district.
Volunteers and external parties with appropriate skills are highly encouraged to apply.
