Job Title: Building Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Building Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Buildings Team, you will be responsible for the structural design of buildings, inspections, assessments, and reporting.

The successful candidate will have a relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering, with 3-6 years' industry experience as a Structural Engineer. You will possess comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards, and ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Structural design of buildings, along with inspections, assessments, and reporting
  • Working collaboratively with architects, project managers, building services, and civil engineers in multidisciplinary teams delivering iconic projects
  • Project management and leading teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Working as part of a team on projects from conception through to final design and construction surveillance
Requirements:
  • A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
  • 3-6 years' industry experience as a Structural Engineer, with specific depth of experience in building design projects in a consulting environment
  • Experience utilizing a broad range of skills across various types of buildings and materials
  • Membership of Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards

This role offers flexibility to work in a full-time or part-time capacity, depending on your needs and preferences. We also offer hybrid work arrangements to create a balance between remote working and face-to-face collaboration in the office.
