Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Laundry Assistant to join our team at Garden City Aged Care Services in Mt Gravatt. As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and comfort for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and personal clothing items according to established protocols and infection control standards.
  • Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and irons, to ensure efficient and effective processing.
  • Monitor and manage laundry supplies, including detergents and fabric softeners, to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks and meet the needs of our clients.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control standards at all times, maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
  • Provide exceptional service and support to clients, maintaining their dignity and comfort, and promoting a positive and respectful attitude towards individuals living with dementia.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is essential, with a strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions and protocols.
