Job DescriptionThis exciting opportunity entails taking ownership of both front-end and back-end development for a leading eCommerce brand. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and maintenance of our Next.js headless storefront integrated with Shopify.
- Designing responsive, high-performance front-end UIs using React, Next.js, and modern CSS frameworks (TailwindCSS preferred).
- Developing server-side logic and APIs (Node.js / Next.js API routes) for integrations with Shopify and third-party services.
- Optimizing site performance for speed, SEO, and accessibility.
- Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and hosting (Vercel/AWS).
- Troubleshooting and resolving front-end and back-end issues in production.
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- 4+ years of professional web development experience.
- Previous work with ecommerce brands with revenue exceeding $5 million.
- Strong expertise in Next.js, React, and Node.js.
- Proven experience with Shopify headless (Storefront & Admin APIs, GraphQL/REST).
- Experience with headless CMS or content APIs.
- Familiarity with deployment pipelines and cloud hosting (Vercel, AWS, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of performance optimisation, SEO, and accessibility standards.
- Ability to handle both front-end and back-end tasks.
While not required, experience with Shopify App Development would be a valuable asset.
