Financial Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Management Specialist to lead our financial management team and manage comprehensive financial tasks including end-of-month processing, taxation obligations, revenue recognition, bank reconciliation, cash flow management, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

The successful candidate will provide accurate financial information to stakeholders, identify continuous improvement opportunities, and assist in financial reporting and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial management team and participate in performance reviews and recruitment.
  • Manage end-of-month processing, taxation obligations, revenue recognition, bank reconciliation, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies; assist in financial reporting and audits.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in commerce from a recognised university with relevant financial experience.
  • Possession of, or working towards, membership of a professional accounting organisation is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of relevant Australian Accounting Standards and other applicable legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated computer skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Experience working in financial services is desirable.
