About the Role

Switch, a leading Platinum Sitecore implementation partner and award-winning agency, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sitecore Technical Lead to join our growing team. As a key member of our digital solutions team, you will play a critical role in delivering successful outcomes and value for our customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Govern the technical discovery, design, and execution of projects to ensure they are developed according to best practices and align with Switch development standards.
  • Plan project delivery in alignment with commercial terms and utilize the standardized Switch Methodology in conjunction with customer teams and project managers.
  • Lead customer teams and contribute to company plans for customers.
  • Work with the Technical Director and Project Managers to maximize efficiency, quality, and utilization of delivery teams.
  • Assist Project and Account Managers in communicating technical complexity to customers in a non-technical manner.
  • Provide direction on all technical aspects, including scoping and estimating project-related tasks, defining system architecture, and defining acceptance criteria.
  • Identify and record risks, issues, actions, dependencies, and decisions (RAID) for projects, including communication and execution of planned mitigation steps and raising to Project Managers.
  • Identify, document, and resolve application issues and outages in and out of office hours.
  • Collaborate with project managers, experience designers, solution architects, technical leads, and clients.
  • Review all technical deliverables completed by the project team.
  • Design and develop software solutions to solve complex problems through the application of design patterns and principles.
  • Ensure that all technical designs meet the overall requirements of the project.
  • Document system architecture and technical designs.
  • Delegate tasks to senior developers.
  • Mentor senior developers.
  • Identify conflicts between team members and disciplines and raise to the Technical Director.
  • Participate in pre-sales and sales activities.
  • Contribute to and conduct team meetings.
  • Perform code reviews.
  • Able to work and troubleshoot autonomously.
  • Apply Switch methodology standards to projects and contribute to ongoing continuous improvement activities for the methodology and internal processes.

Requirements

  • Sitecore Developer Certification is desirable but not necessary.
  • Able to provide a clear, trusted technical voice to both internal and external customers.
  • Able to perform technical discovery, solution design, and project execution to a high level of quality.
  • Able to contribute to planning discussions at both a tactical and strategic level.
  • Minimum of 6 years of software development experience using Sitecore, either with an agency or within the industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience using HTML and CSS.
  • Minimum of 1 year of writing code using JavaScript.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Sitecore PowerShell.
  • Experience with Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SXA).
  • Experience with Sitecore Experience Commerce (SXC).
  • Experience using alternative CMS solutions such as Umbraco, Kentico, EpiServer, AEM, WordPress.
  • Experience with DevOps using one or more of the following: TeamCity, Octopus, VSTS, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular.
  • Experience using SASS.
  • Experience using TypeScript.
  • Experience using NodeJS and NodeJS task runners such as Gulp or Grunt.
  • Experience using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
  • 2+ years of experience with unit testing practices and methodologies.
  • Experience setting up, configuring, and maintaining infrastructure.
