Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team in Ingleburn, NSW. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and post customer payments accurately and efficiently
- Investigate unallocated payments and resolve account management issues
- Make outbound calls to debtors to resolve payment issues and improve customer relationships
- Prepare and send invoices and statements to clients, and follow up on outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications related to accounts receivable
- Deliver exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
- Investigate and resolve complex problems related to accounts receivable
- Arrange and process overdue payments, and tailor support for customers based on their unique situations
- Collaborate with management and the sales team to address customer inquiries and billing issues
- Onboard new debtor accounts, conduct credit checks, and set credit limits for new and existing customers
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounts receivable functions
- Diploma or degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on credit and collections
- Experience with MYOB system is a must-have
- Intermediate Excel knowledge and great verbal and written skills
- Past experience in the construction industry is desirable but not required
- Able to start within 2 weeks or open to someone with a longer notice period
- Must have full work rights in Australia
- Permanent full-time opportunity or part-time full-time opportunity
