Supporting Independence at Home

Our team is dedicated to assisting elderly individuals in maintaining their independence within the comfort of their own homes. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide personalized support and care, fostering meaningful relationships with clients and enhancing their overall well-being.

The Role

As a valued member of our team, you will deliver high-quality domestic services to clients, including cleaning, meal preparation, laundry, assistance with shopping, and personal care tasks. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and routines, tailoring your support to meet their individual requirements.

You will also assist clients with various activities such as banking, pet care, and maintaining their living spaces. Your empathetic approach and effective communication skills will ensure that clients feel comfortable and supported throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver domestic services including cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, meal preparation, shopping, and other household tasks.
  • Assist clients with simple care tasks like making beds, organizing clothes, and meal assistance.
  • Foster a respectful and supportive environment, ensuring clients' dignity, privacy, and independence.
  • Communicate changes in client conditions to the Service Delivery Manager.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed according to the individual care plan.

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathetic and caring approach to clients.
  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and work standing or sitting for long periods.
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR or willingness to obtain within three months.
  • Unrestricted Australian Driver's License and a reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Previous experience in a homecare environment is desirable.

Please note that this role requires a current First Aid Certificate and CPR, which can be obtained within three months of employment. Additionally, previous experience in a homecare environment is highly desirable but not essential.
