Risk Management Expert

Snowy Hydro is a pioneering energy company with a rich history of innovation and excellence. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Risk & Compliance Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk management frameworks, working closely with business stakeholders to embed risk and compliance practices across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining risk profiles and providing regular reports to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Providing independent oversight of key risk controls and corresponding assurance to the business and Executive on the effectiveness of first-line risk management;
  • Monitoring timely implementation of risk action plans;
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure regulatory developments are closely monitored;
  • Delivery of a training and monitoring program to build risk and compliance capability within the business;
  • Providing guidance and targeted support to Compliance Advisors and broader stakeholders;

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant Bachelor's degree and 6-10 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and delivering governance, risk, and compliance frameworks in a large and complex organization;
  • Experience engaging with and presenting to senior Executive and Management teams;
  • The ability to effectively communicate complex matters to a range of personnel across all levels of the business.
