About the Role:
- Perform scheduled servicing of mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to procedures and regulations.
- Mentor and develop national trades personnel, promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
- Utilize expertise to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Record and report maintenance activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in workshop and working areas.
- Read and interpret service and spare parts manuals.
- Report equipment faults to the Maintenance Foreman for scheduling.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated passion for safety and a proactive approach to ensuring safety is paramount.
- Experience in training less qualified tradespeople in a high-productivity underground contracting mining environment.
- Strong background working with SANDVIK, CAT, and Atlas underground mobile equipment and associated automation systems.
- At least 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience in the underground mining industry on large mobile equipment.
- High degree of knowledge and skill in troubleshooting problems on electric hydraulic drilling equipment.
- Good knowledge of loader and truck maintenance.
- Competent in Auto Electrics, Hydraulic Circuit Schematics, and Diesel engine maintenance.
- Self-starter with minimal supervision required.
- Excellent service and maintenance approach.
- International Driver's License.
