We are seeking an Experienced ITH/Rhino Driller to join our team in Botswana. The successful candidate will have a strong background in underground mining and experience with the DU411 Drill rig.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and statutory codes.
- Accurately drill ITH to design patterns using a mechanised drill.
- Communicate with surveyors, geologists, and engineers to optimise drill patterns.
- Set up and troubleshoot the ITH - DU411 Drill rig.
- Access face conditions and scale from height according to site requirements.
Essential Requirements:
- A strong passion for safety and a proactive attitude towards ensuring safety is front of mind for all employees.
- Experience in training a national workforce.
- A minimum of five years' experience in the Underground Mining Industry.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience solely as an Underground ITH Trainer using the DU411 Drill rig.
- Knowledge of Underground Mining Practices and the efficient operation of an Underground Longhole Machine.
- Highly organised and able to work efficiently with limited supervision.
