About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to join our team at The State Of Queensland. As an IT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-level technical direction, support, and advice to maintain defined enterprise service levels in one or more technology domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and promote Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes based on the ITIL framework, primarily incident/problem/change/release/configuration management.
  • Provide technical expertise and experience in technology domains to analyze ICT system issues and contribute to the design and implementation of appropriate solutions and improvements.
  • Collaborate with team members, technical specialists, applications specialists, vendors, and stakeholders to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Meet service delivery targets and implement quantifiable service improvements by coordinating multiple tasks within agreed priorities, time frames, and working unsupervised.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and promote ITSM processes based on the ITIL framework.
  • Technical expertise and experience in technology domains, including Office 365 Collaboration Services, Microsoft Exchange, Email Security technologies, System automation, and Power Shell scripting knowledge.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to enable effective interaction in individual and group situations.
  • Ability to meet service delivery targets and implement quantifiable service improvements.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and develop effective working relationships with team members, technical specialists, applications specialists, vendors, and stakeholders.
